I recently joined Nikki Alderson‘s Connect - Empower - Coach programme and would highly recommend it to any woman lawyer looking to take a more intentional approach to her career.
What I particularly like is that the programme is not simply about career progression or getting the next promotion. Instead it challenges us to think about what we actually want from our careers and the practice we want to build, the clients we want to work with, the relationships we want to develop and, ultimately, what success looks like for each of us. It then focuses on translating those ambitions into practical business development goals and achievable next steps.
The programme is highly interactive, with a good balance of discussion, coaching and practical exercises. Every session has given me something I can apply immediately, whether in approaching difficult conversations, business development or thinking more strategically about my practice and leadership.
Nikki‘s background as a lawyer is a real strength. She understands the realities of legal practice and the challenges that many women encounter throughout their careers. That experience gives the program a level of authenticity and credibility that cannot be replicated.
Nikki is insightful and engaging, and creates an environment in which people are prepared to be open, challenge themselves and learn from one another. One of the highlights for me is the opportunity to meet and learn alongside a group of talented and supportive women.
